6 FAQS - BIRTH PHOTOGRAPHY

Do hospitals allow birth photographers?
Most hospitals in the Netherlands welcome birth photographers. I have experience at hospitals across Rotterdam, Amsterdam, The Hague, Delft. I coordinate with your hospital ahead of time to ensure everything runs smoothly.

When should we book?
Book during your second trimester if possible. I only accept 2 births per month to ensure availability when labor begins. Don’t wait,spots fill quickly!

When do you arrive during labor?
I arrive during active labor (around 4-6 cm dilation) and stay until at least 2 hours postpartum, no matter how long your birth takes. We stay in close contact once I’m on-call at 37 weeks.

What if you're at another birth when I go into labor?
I carefully schedule births to avoid conflicts and have a trusted backup photographer on standby for any unforeseen circumstances. Your birth will be documented beautifully, guaranteed.
05.
How do you work as doula and photographer?
My doula training means I understand birth flow, when to support you, and when to document. You receive complete support and beautiful documentation from a single trusted person.

Will the photos be modest?
Absolutely. I photograph from respectful angles that capture emotion and power without explicit imagery. Your gallery allows you to mark photos private before sharing, you control what others see.
