Visiting from abroad?
- Where: the Tulip Barn in Hillegom, next to Keukenhof. About 40 minutes by car from Amsterdam, with free parking. Or take the train to Hillegom and walk 15 minutes.
- When: 26 March – 9 May 2027. The tulips are at their best in mid and late April.
- Booking from abroad: a €50 deposit by PayPal reserves your date. The rest you pay in cash on the day, or by PayPal. Then we plan everything by WhatsApp or video call.

Tulip photoshoot questions

When is the best time for a tulip photoshoot in the Netherlands?
The Tulip Barn is open from 26 March to 9 May 2027. The tulips are usually at their best in mid and late April, but it changes a bit every year with the weather. Late afternoon, at golden hour, gives the softest light.

Where is the Tulip Barn, and how do I get there from Amsterdam?
The Tulip Barn is in Hillegom, next to Keukenhof (3e Loosterweg 130). By car it is about 40 minutes from Amsterdam, with free parking. By train, go to Hillegom station and walk about 15 minutes. I send you all the details after booking.

I live abroad. How far ahead should I book?
As soon as you know your travel dates. Spring dates go fast, and families come from the US and all over the world. A €50 deposit by PayPal reserves your date. The rest you pay in cash on the day, or by PayPal. We plan everything by WhatsApp or video call, in English or Spanish.

What should we wear?
Light, soft colours look beautiful between the tulips: white, cream, soft blue, pastels or denim. Flowy dresses and comfortable shoes are best, because we walk between the fields. After booking, I send you my style guide.

What if the weather is bad?
Spring in the Netherlands is unpredictable: sunny, cold, cloudy, windy or rainy, often in one day. Soft clouds give beautiful light, so we only move for very bad weather, like heavy rain or a storm. Then we change the day or time, or you use your deposit for another session. Your €50 deposit is non-refundable, because I reserve that day only for you.

Is the entrance to the Tulip Barn included?
My own entrance is on me. Your ticket is not included: about €10 for adults, €4.50 for children and €25 for a family ticket (2027 prices). You buy it online or at the entrance.

Can I do a maternity, couple or proposal shoot in the tulips?
Yes! Many of my maternity sessions happen in the tulips. Couples, proposals, families with kids and pets are all welcome.
08.
When do I receive my photos?
Within 6 weeks, in a private online gallery. You can download your photos from anywhere in the world.
