Bride and groom in front of a castle, Mexican-Dutch wedding in the Netherlands

Karla & Pier: a Mexican-Dutch wedding full of love (and a piñata)

Two countries. One dance floor. And a piñata.

A Mexican-Dutch wedding at Veenderhoeve, De Klomp

Karla is from Mexico. Pier is Dutch. Their wedding was the place where both worlds met, and became one.

Every detail was thought through with love. But what I remember most are the people. Friends and family were everywhere, and everyone helped. It felt less like an event and more like a big family making something beautiful together.

They gave me the freedom to simply tell their day. So I followed the light, the laughs, and the small looks between them. And they are a beautiful couple.

The music was Mexican and Dutch, and everyone danced to both. Then came the best part: the Mexican piñata. Friends and family, all laughing. Many faces were familiar to me, and even while I was catching moments, I felt part of the party.

Now they have their day in their hands. The colours, the music, the piñata. All of it, to keep.

What I will keep from this day

Two cultures, one family, and love that dances in every language.
